Consultation Terms

Effective date: October 25, 2026.

These terms apply when you book a paid online consultation. By checking the box at booking, you agree to them.

1. Who you are meeting with. Your consultation is with a licensed attorney at the law firm named in your booking confirmation (the "Firm"). SLG Digital LLC operates the website and booking tools. SLG Digital is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.

2. What the consultation is. The consultation is a single video meeting of up to 30 minutes. The attorney will listen to your situation, answer your questions, and discuss your options under the law of the state where you live. The Firm represents you only for this meeting. The representation begins when the meeting starts and ends when it ends.

3. What is not included. The consultation does not include:

  • Drafting, reviewing, or revising any document
  • Any work before or after the meeting, including follow-up calls, emails, or research
  • Representing you in court or with any other person or agency
  • Any duty to contact you later about changes in the law or your situation

If you want the Firm to do more, that requires a separate written engagement and fee. You may also buy a plan on the website. The $95 consultation fee is not credited toward any plan or other service.

4. Conflict check. Before your meeting, the Firm checks the names you provide for conflicts of interest. Please give complete and accurate names. If the Firm finds a conflict, it will cancel your meeting and refund your fee in full. The Firm may not be able to tell you why.

5. Confidentiality. What you tell the attorney is confidential, even if you do not hire the Firm for more work. If another person joins the call, what is said in front of them may not be protected. The attorney may ask to speak with you alone for part of the meeting. If you and your spouse or partner meet together, the attorney cannot keep secrets from either of you about the matters discussed.

6. Fee, cancellation, and rescheduling. The $95 fee is paid when you book and is earned when paid, subject to the following:

  • You cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your meeting: full refund, or one free reschedule.
  • You cancel less than 24 hours before, or do not attend: no refund. The attorney waits 10 minutes after the start time before treating the meeting as missed.
  • The Firm cancels, or finds a conflict: full refund.
  • The video connection fails on the Firm's side and the meeting cannot be completed: free reschedule or full refund, your choice.

7. Recording. The Firm does not record consultations. Please do not record the meeting without the attorney's consent.

8. No guarantee. The attorney's advice is based on the information you share during a short meeting. The Firm cannot guarantee any result. Advice may change if you share more facts later.

9. Urgent matters. The consultation is not for emergencies or matters with a deadline in the next few days. If you have a court date, a filing deadline, or a time-sensitive transaction, contact a local attorney right away.

10. Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of the state where the Firm's attorney is licensed and your matter is discussed, currently Illinois or Missouri.
